
Coleman's Strong Performance Powers Skyforce Past Wizards

Sioux Falls, S.D. (Dec. 16, 2011) - The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Dakota Wizards 108-96 Friday night at the Sioux Falls Arena. After a back-and-forth first quarter, Sioux Falls went ahead 28-27 and never trailed the rest of the game.
Sioux Falls led at the half 59-51, shooting nearly 20 percent better than Dakota in the first half. Casey Mitchell scored 15 of his 21 points in the first half and finished 9-of-15 from the field in his first game back following a short stint in training camp with the Houston Rockets.
Sioux Falls built their lead to as many as 16 late in the third quarter due to a balanced scoring attack. Five players finished in double figures for Sioux Falls. Dakota outrebounded Sioux Falls by six but committed five more turnovers.
Dominique Coleman nearly posted a triple-double with 18 points, eight rebounds and a season-high 14 assists. Billy McShepard recorded his third double-double in four games with a season-high 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Longtime Skyforce nemesis Maurice Baker nearly had a triple-double of his own with 18 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Curtis Withers led all scorers with 23 points while also grabbing eight rebounds.
The two rivals face off at the Sioux Falls Arena tomorrow night at 7 p.m. CT.
