Phantoms Celebrate Holidays with Third Annual Tedd Bear Toss This Saturday, December 10

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The holidays are just around the corner and the Youngstown Phantoms invite fans to join them in celebrating the spirit of the season at the Covelli Centre on Saturday, December 10 when the Phantoms will host the third annual "Teddy Bear Toss" when they play the Chicago Steel. The doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the puck drops at 7:15 p.m. EST.

All fans in attendance are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal with them to be donated to Akron Children's Hospital of Mahoning Valley. Fans will receive a $4 discount on walk-up tickets for each stuffed animal they bring. A limited number of stuffed animals will also be available for purchase inside the arena for just $5.

When the Phantoms score their first goal of the night, fans will throw their stuffed animals on the ice to celebrate. Then on Monday, December 12 the Phantoms players will deliver the donated stuffed animals with them to Akron Children's Hospital of Mahoning Valley and will personally deliver them to patients.

Additionally, the Youngstown Phantoms and Phantom Fireworks have teamed up to adopt six families through the Salvation Army this holiday season. All six families will be receiving free tickets to the December 10 game and representatives from the Phantoms will be donating gifts to the Salvation Army in a brief ceremony between periods.
