Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Fighting Saints will make their first trip of the season to Cedar Rapids tonight, taking on the RoughRiders in what is now an intra-conference matchup. The two teams met last week in Dubuque, with Tyler Lundey scoring in overtime to deliver the victory for the Fighting Saints. Tonight's matchup will be the second of eight for the two teams in 2011-12.

The RoughRiders snapped back into the wins column with a 3-2 victory over Waterloo on Saturday. Prior to the victory, Cedar Rapids had been winless over the course of their previous five games, including three consecutive overtime losses. The RoughRiders have lost five games in overtime this season, two more than any other USHL team. Only four of the sixteen USHL squads have been defeated in overtime more than once.

The same two teams will meet tomorrow night in Dubuque, bringing the Fighting Saints and RoughRiders together for the third time in just eleven days. After the weekend series with Cedar Rapids, the Fighting Saints will travel to Indiana for two games next weekend, before returning home for a pair of games the week before the holiday break.

Tonight's game starts at 7:15. Pregame coverage starts at 6:45 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com.
