Toledo Walleye News Release

Walleye Notes

- Past Week Performance: Toledo finished this past week with a 0-1-0-0 record. Toledo lost its third consecutive home opener 5-1 on Saturday to Chicago. Walleye Captain Kyle Rogers scored Toledo's lone goal at 3:34 of the opening period. Toledo was defeated 6-0 in last year's home opener by Wheeling and in 2009 the Walleye were downed 2-1 by Florida.

- Record Crowd! Saturday night's crowd of 8,250 set a single game record for the largest attendance in Toledo hockey history, dating back to 1947. That breaks the old mark of 8,200 that has been reached six different times. It also bests the opening night crowds of each of the past two seasons which each hit the 8,000 mark.

- Gametime: The Walleye play two games this week. The first is Friday night in Kalamazoo. It will be the first of 14 meetings with the Wings this season. Toledo is 11-15-1 all-time against the Wings. On Saturday night, the Walleye will return home to host the South Carolina Stingrays. Toledo is 0-10-1 against the Stingrays all-time.

- Welcome Aboard: The Walleye welcomed 10 new players on Saturday night playing their first game with the team. Aaron Lewicki and Joey Martin each picked up an assist in their first ever Walleye game. For Martin, it was his first professional point.

- Promotions! Saturday night features a Rally Towel Giveaway, presented by Buckeye TeleSystem, to the first 3,000 fans through the doors of the Huntington Center! Visit www.toledowalleye.com for all upcoming promotions!

Walleye Player of the Week: Kyle Rogers (1 goal - 0 assists 1 point)
