Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers General Manager, Craig Bonner, announced tonight that the hockey club has acquired 20-year-old forward Thomas Frazee from the Regina Pats in exchange for 20-year-old Shayne Neigum, 17-year-old Lyndon Martell and a 3rd round bantam draft pick in 2012.
Frazee, a 6'4" 205lb forward is into his 5th WHL season and has 13 goals, 24 assists and 37 points in 33 games this year with the Pats. The North Vancouver native has played 276 WHL games with Portland, Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw and Regina, and has 153 points.
"Adding Thomas to our line-up gives us a big power forward," Bonner stated. "He will add some offensive depth to our hockey club and is a proven playoff performer with 10 points in 7 playoff games last season."
Neigum played 23 games with the Blazers after being picked up on the waiver wire in October. He had 1 goal and 2 assists along with 69 penalty minutes. Martell got into 8 games with the Blazers early in the season, before being re-assigned to the Prince George Spruce Kings of the BCHL in October. He had 1 assist in his time with the Blazers
"We would like to thank Shayne and Lyndon for their time with our hockey club," Bonner said. "We wish them the best of luck in Regina," Bonner concluded.
