The Lowdown

This is the first game of the season between the Pats and the Raiders. The blue and white took last year's season series 4-1-1-0 against the folks from "Hockeytown North". Jordan Weal is the Pats top returning scorer with 12 points while Brandon Davidson had 5 points and was a +6. Damien Ketlo was 3-1-1-0 in his 5 starts

From Hockeytown North:

After a rough start to the season, the Prince Albert Raiders have been playing solid .500 hockey and are now in 4th in the East Division and are just 2 points out of 8th in the Conference. They do all of their damage 5-on-5 as they have the 18th ranked power play unite in the WHL.

C - Mark McNeill - The 17 year old forward is the leading point and assists getter for the Prince Albert Raiders with 36 points and is

RW - Igor Revenko - The 20 year old import is fifth on the Raiders in scoring but is tops in +/- with a +5.

RW - Brandon Herrod - The 19 year old veteran forward is in his 4th season with the Raiders and is third on the Raiders in scoring

C - Chandler Stephenson - The 16 year old rookie picked up 5th goal of the season last night and leads all Pats in rookie scoring with 13 points.

D - Artem Bidlevskii - The 19 year old defenceman has provided much needed grit to the Pats line-up. Since coming to the blue and white he has 7 fighting majors in 22 games

D - Brandon Davidson - The 6th round pick of the Oilers in the 2010 NHL entry draft has 18 points in his last 18 games

Pats and Amercs Deal:

Regina Pats General Manager Chad Lang announced yesterday that the Regina Pats have sent 19 year old forward, Carter Ashton and a 2012 3rd round WHL bantam draft pick to the Tri-City Americans in exchange for forward Tanner Olstad, forward Nils Moser, a 1st round pick in the 2011 WHL Bantam draft as well as a 2nd and 5th round pick in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. Moser and Olstead will be in the Pats line-up tonight against the Red Deer Rebels

1st Canadian Outdoor Junior Game:

On Monday, February 21st, 2011, the Regina Pats will take on the Calgary Hitmen at McMahon Stadium in Calgary for the first ever outdoor junior game. Tickets will be $12 and $15 apiece and will go on sale December 14th at Ticketmaster locations. For ticket package information that combines both the WHL outdoor game and the NHL outdoor classic between the Calgary Flames and Montreal Canadiens, call the Pats office @ 522-PATS. The Pats will be wearing a jersey much like they wore during the 1950's when they were the junior affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.
