Brett Stovin has been reassigned from the Saskatoon Blades to Interlake Lightning, his club team, in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League. The 16 year-old right-winger from Stony Mountain, MB has played in four games this season with the Blades, recording 1 goal, 0 assists, 0 penalty minutes and a +1 rating.
Blades Pick Up Saskatoon-Native Trask
The Saskatoon Blades have made a trade with the Kamloops Blazers, picking up 19 year-old center/right-winger, Jake Trask, of Saskatoon, SK in exchange for a 6th Round Draft Pick in 2012. Trask has been with the Blazers throughout his WHL career, playing 149 games total since the 2007/2008 season, recording 25 goals, 18 assists and 36 penalty minutes. In the 2009-10 season Trask played 68 regular season games, collecting 13 goals, 9 assists and 16 penalty minutes.
Head Coach and GM, Lorne Molleken, would like to welcome Jake Trask back to his hometown of Saskatoon, SK and feels that Jake has the potential to be an offensive asset to the Blades.
