October 7, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced Thursday that they have added forwards Mark Magnowski and Adam Perry, defenseman Brennan Turner, and have released forwards Aaron Lewicki and Chris Moran. Elmira hosts the Reading Royals at First Arena in preseason action at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday.

Magnowski comes to Elmira after skating four seasons for Princeton University, where he was a teammate of current Jackals defenseman Jody Pederson. With the Tigers in 2009-2010, Magnowski led the team with 17 assists and was second with 27 points. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native skated two games at the end of last season with the Victoria Salmon Kings.

Perry was second on the Utah Grizzlies with 78 points (30g-48a) in 2009-2010, his second year as a pro. The Peterborough, Ontario native split 2008-2009 with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage and the CHL's Arizona Sundogs, where he scored 56 points despite only playing in 45 games.

Prior to his professional career, Perry played four seasons in the OHL, having his best statistical year in 2006-2007 with the London Knights when he posted 87 points (45g-42a).

Turner was assigned by the Jackals AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators, on Thursday. In 2009-2010, Turner set a Jackals single-season record for plus-minus checking in at +34, second-best in the ECHL. The Foam Lake, Saskatchewan native was +2 or better in 16 regular-season games in 2009-2010.

Prior to turning pro, Turner was a three-time letter winner at Yale University, majoring in economics.
