The PawSox had a close call on Tuesday night in Western New York, defeating Buffalo 7-3. Things looked good for the PawSox, sailing along with a 4-0 lead going to the eighth. Chad Paronto allowed three runs to score, letting the Bisons back in the game. Pawtucket answered with three runs in the ninth to ice the win. Adam Mills turned in his best performance of the season, hurling 6 shutout innings. Mills (3-9) scattered 5 hits, striking out 5 batters. Fernando Cabrera overcame a poor start to earn his 17th save.
Josh Reddick lead the offensive attack, going 5 for 5 with a home run and 2 RBI. Aaron Bates had a single and a double and a pair of RBI. Bubba Bell had an RBI single and threw out a base runner at the plate from deep right field. Reddick is 8 for his last 9 and in two games, his batting average has risen from .245 to .260 for the season.
The six game, 5 day series concludes on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. Rich Hill (2-0, 3.82) faces fellow lefthander Raul Valdes (1-1, 2.11).
