DAVENPORT, Iowa - The Quad Cities River Bandits took a 4-0 lead after five innings of play and held on pulling out a 5-1 win after falling in their previous two contests with the Lake County Captains. The Bandits out-hit the Captains 8-5 and used a three run homer by Ryan Jackson to seal the win.

Jackson drove his second homer of the season in the fifth inning with two men on to give the Bandits a 4-0 edge. He finished the game with a three hit performance by going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored. Luis Mateo and Ryde Rodriguez both added two-hit games. Each went 2-for-4 while Mateo slugged a double and scored twice, Rodriguez plated one of his own.

Deryk Hooker (5-4) set a season high in strikeouts when he fanned nine through 5.1 innings in his 11th start of the season for Quad Cities. Hooker was credited with the win after he surrendered just one run on four hits in his fifth victory of the season. Michael Blazek and Aaron Terry closed out the game for the Bandits as they combined for the final 3.2 innings, allowing just one hit. Clayton Cook (4-6) was charged with his sixth loss of the season after he allowed four runs on five hits through five innings of work. The Captains surrendered just one run in the final three innings of play.

The River Bandits will play host to a new foe on Saturday night as the Fort Wayne TinCaps come to town. The Bandits will send right-hander Joe Kelly (4-6) to the mound. He will face-off with Fort Wayne south paw Jose De Paula (4-2). The first 2,000 fans in attendance for Saturday's contest will receive an Albert Pujols bobblehead courtesy of DHCU Community Credit Union and Fox 18.
