Monarchs Announce Investing in Our Youth Winner

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have donated a $2,500 grant to Hillside Middle School for a new smart board as part of their Investing In Our Youth quarterly grant program, the team announced on Wednesday.
Through the program, the Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Monarchs, awards a $2,500 scholarship each quarter to a deserving youth sports or school organization.
The Monarchs are currently taking applications for the program. Athletic and educational organizations are encouraged to apply. A smart board is a combination of a high-performance projection screen that can be used to write on with an electronic pen or a dry erase marker. Videos, slides and other educational material can be projected on the screen and used to teach educational material to students. Hillside Middle School will use their new smart board to entertain and educate 150 middle school students on a daily basis and over 900 students will have access to this new technology.
