PawSox Road Woes Continue in Indy

Indianapolis has owned the PawSox this season and the trend continued on Thursday night as the Indians dumped Pawtucket 4-2. The teams have met seven times this season and the Indians have won six times, including the last three. The road has not been kind to the PawSox. They've lost 21 of 31 road contests in 2010.

Starter Michael Bowden didn't make it through the fifth as he gave up 2 runs in 4.2 innings. Indy starter Daniel McCutchen made his second brilliant start against Pawtucket. For the second time (April 29) McCutchen allowed 1 run in 7 innings. Thursday he gave up three hits to earn the victory.

Former PawSox standout Brandon Moss had a pair of doubles and an rbi. Kevin Melillo homered and doubled. Ryan Kalish knocked in a run for the PawSox with a grounder in the fourth. Jorge Jimenez plated a run in the ninth with a sacrifice fly.

The series and the road trip wrap up on Friday at 7:15 p.m. Randor Bierd (2-3, 4.75) faces Hayden Penn (0-2, 6.52).
