Armor Re-Acquire JamesOn Curry

January 28, 2010 - NBA Development League (D-League) Springfield Armor

SPRINGFIELD, MA Jan. 28, 2010 - The Armor today announced that JamesOn Curry has rejoined the Springfield roster. JamesOn returns to the Armor after being released from the LA Clippers on Tuesday, January 26th.

JamesOn was the NBA D-League's 8th GATORADE Call-Up this season when he signed with the Clippers on Jan. 22nd. For the Clippers, he played a total of 3.9 seconds at the end of the third quarter in the game against the Celtics on the 25th.

Curry's efforts paid off as he helped defend the basket from Celtics Rajon Rondo during an inbound play in those final seconds of the third. While he did not return in the fourth quarter, Curry was able to make his NBA debut and in front of some of his now newly reunited teammates from the Armor who traveled to Boston to see him play.

Curry is expected to join his team back on the court tonight as the Armor takes on Fort Wayne at 7 p.m. EST.

Springfield returns home on Saturday as they take on the Erie BayHawks at 1 p.m. at the MassMutual Center. Saturday is the Armor's NBA Affiliate Day in which the Armor will showcase the team's three NBA Affiliates, the New York Knicks, the New Jersey Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers.
