Las Vegas' Lukacevic Named Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player Of The Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Las Vegas Wranglers forward Ned Lukacevic is the Sher-wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 4-10.
The 23 year old tied for the league lead during the week with five goals and eight points to help the Wranglers go 2-0-1 to improve to 16-14-4 and second place in the Pacific Division. Lukacevic has a five-game goal streak (7g) and a five-game point streak (7g-4a).
He scored a goal and had an assist in a 2-1 win at Ontario on Jan. 6 and then registered his first back-to-back multiple-goal games on Jan. 8 and 9 against the Reign with two goals in a 3-2 overtime loss on Jan. 8 and two goals and four points, tying his career high, in a 5-1 win against Ontario on Jan. 9.
Lukacevic leads the Wranglers with 14 goals and five power-play goals while his 30 points and three game-winning goals tie him for the team lead and his 16 assists rank third.
In his first four professional seasons he has 97 points (42g-55a) and 123 penalty minutes in 161 regular season games with Reading and Las Vegas and two assists in eight Kelly Cup Playoff games for Reading.
Selected in the fourth round (110th overall) by the Los Angeles Kings in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Lukacevic has also played in the American Hockey League where he has nine points (4g-5a) and 15 penalty minutes in 64 regular season games and two points (1g-1a) and nine penalty minutes in 15 playoff games for Manchester and Providence.
On behalf of Ned Lukacevic, a case of pucks will be donated to a Las Vegas youth hockey organization by Sher-wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-wood Hockey has donated more than 23,100 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
