Kalamazoo's Willis Suspended One Game

January 12, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL) News Release


PRINCETON, N.J. - The ECHL announced that Kalamazoo right wing Tyler Willis has been suspended for one game as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #349 against Charlotte on Jan. 9.

Willis was assessed a Game Misconduct under Rule 47.21 Instigator In Final Five Minutes Or Overtime at 16:07 of the third period.

He is suspended under Rule 47.21 whereby any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of fisticuffs during the last five minutes of the game or at any time during overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game.

Willis will miss Kalamazoo's game at Cincinnati (Jan. 13).
