
Sundogs Acquire Forward Marc Belanger, Deal Rookie Jason Reese to Wichita

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has sent rookie forward Jason Reese to the Wichita Thunder in exchange for second-year pro Marc Belanger.
Belanger, 26, appeared in 31 games with the Thunder this season, registering nine goals, six assists and 21 penalty minutes (PIM).
The Nanaimo, British Columbia, native tallied six points (3g/3a) in his first five games to start the season and recorded five goals in a two game stretch in mid-December.
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound forward split his rookie season with the Texas Brahmas and Thunder in 2008-09, collecting 20 goals, nine assists and 22 PIM in 62 games.
Prior to turning pro, Belanger played for four seasons at St. Norbert College (NCAA) in Wisconsin, averaging more than a point per game with 62 goals, 70 assists and 118 PIM in 119 collegiate contests.
Reese appeared in 10 games with Arizona after being acquired in a trade with the Brahmas on December 2, picking up two points (1g/1a) and six PIM.
