GLENS FALLS, NY - The Adirondack Phantoms, proud AHL affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers, announced today that the Flyers have returned right wing David Laliberte on loan to Adirondack.Laliberte, 23, has been called up to the Flyers twice this season. In his latest stint the St-Liboire, Quebec native played in four NHL games during the team's west coast road trip. In eight total NHL games this season with Philadelphia, Laliberte has three points (2 goals, 1 assist), six penalty minutes and a +1 plus-minus rating.
In 10 games played with Adirondack this season, Laliberte is tied for third on the team with seven points (2 goals, 5 assists); he is second on the Phantoms in points-per-game (0.70). In parts of three seasons of play in the AHL (2007-08 to 2009-10), Laliberte has recorded 64 points (33 goals, 31 assists) and 66 penalty minutes in 107 games, all with the Phantoms. He was originally selected by the Flyers in the fourth round (124th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft and signed a three-year entry level contract with the Flyers on May 17, 2007.
The Phantoms begin a busy three-games-in-three-days stretch this week on Thursday, November 26th for a Thanksgiving Day road game against the Binghamton Senators at 6:05 pm at Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. Adirondack's next home game is on Friday, November 27th as they host the Hershey Bears for a 7:30 pm face off on Black Friday at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The first 3,000 fans into the building will receive a set of Phantoms Thunder Sticks courtesy of Pyrofax Energy.
