LOOKING AHEAD: Riding a five-game points streak (4-0-0-1), Bridgeport returns home on Wednesday to battle Manchester... The Sound Tigers' run comes on the heels of a five-game losing skid to begin the month... Sean Bentivoglio has a point in five of his last six games (4-4-8) to take over the Bridgeport team lead with 15 points (7-8-15) in 22 tilts overall... Second-year pro Jesse Joensuu shows a four-game scoring streak (2-2-4) for the Sound Tigers, and rookie Matt Martin has found the scoresheet in three of four (1-3-4)... Monarchs goaltender Jonathan Bernier (8-5-2), who ranks third in goals-against average (1.78) and second in save percentage (.948), pitched a 40-save shutout in a 2-0 win over Bridgeport on Oct. 23... Three of Manchester's top four scorers - Andrei Loktionov (6-11-17), Brandon Segal (6-8-14) and Scott Parse (2-9-11) - are on recall to Los Angeles... Oscar Moller leads active Monarchs with eight goals and 16 points in 19 outings... Manchester is 1-4-1-1 in its last seven road games... Bridgeport is 4-10-0-0 in games decided in regulation this season and 7-0-0-1 when the contest extends beyond 60 minutes.
Chicago hosts conference rival Grand Rapids on Wednesday at Allstate Arena... The Wolves are 9-3-0-0 in their last 12 games to climb into a second-place tie in the crowded West Division... Goaltenders Drew MacIntyre (6-6-0, 2.36,.922) and Peter Mannino (2-0-0, 0.86,.974) have combined to surrender just one goal in each of Chicago's last four games... Jason Krog leads the Wolves with 18 points (3-15-18) in 17 games and has found the scoresheet in six of his last seven contests (2-8-10)... Evan McGrath snapped a six-game drought with a pair of goals in the Griffins' 6-3 win at Toronto on Saturday... Norfolk wraps up a season-high eight-game road trip with a visit to Wachovia Arena to battle Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday... The Admirals are 2-4-1-0 on the trip thus far and have dropped their last three outings... Norfolk took a 2-1 road victory over the Penguins' on Nov. 6 in the teams' first clash of the campaign, receiving 30 saves from rookie goaltender Dustin Tokarski (6-7-0, 2.56,.909)... Brandon Bochenski ranks second in the AHL with 12 goals (12-8-20) in 22 games for the Admirals; Bochenski has gone two games without a goal, matching his longest drought of the year... Norfolk's Blair Jones has recorded 4-8-12 in his last 10 contests after putting up 1-2-3 in his first 12 outings this year... Second-year pro Dustin Jeffrey has a point in eight of nine games (1-12-13) for the Penguins and leads the club with 19 points (1-18-19) in 17 games overall... Fellow second-year forward Luca Caputi shows a point in four of his last five games (3-3-6)... Wilkes-Barre/Scranton is 9-0-1-0 this season when it scores the game's first goal.
