
Petes Puempel Named to Team Ontario U17

The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario today announced that Peterborough Petes rookie forward Matt Puempel will represent Team Ontario at the 2010 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in Timmins Ontario from December 29th 2009-January 4th 2010.
Puempel, the Petes first round selection overall in the 2009 OHL Priority Selection, leads the Petes in goals scored with 11 and is fourth in team scoring with 15 points in 18 games. The native of Essex, Ontario joins the list of 22 players named earlier today including 18 first round OHL selections.
