RHP Alan Horne reinstated from DL, transferred to Charleston

(Altoona, PA)-The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that RHP Alan Horne has reinstated from the Disabled List, and transferred to Charleston (Low-A).
Horne appeared in five games (four starts) for Trenton this season, and was 0-3 with a 11.15 ERA. In 2008, Horne made eight starts for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (Triple-A) and went 2-3 with a 5.63 ERA. He also made three starts with Tampa, and had a 0-1 record with a 23.14 ERA. In 2007, Horne was named the Eastern League "Pitcher of the Year". He was 12-4 with a 3.11 ERA in 27 starts for Trenton. He was originally drafted in the 11th round of the 2005 draft out of the University of Florida.
Trenton and Altoona play the middle game of their series on Wednesday night. RHP Josh Schmidt (8-3, 1.34) will start for Trenton against Altoona LHP Daniel Moskos (10-9, 3.78). Game time is set for 6:35 p.m.
