Greenville, SC - Lead changes have been a constant during the Drive's series with the Lexington Legends at Fluor Field. That trend continued in the third meeting between the two teams, as there were three lead changes Thursday night.

However, when the Legends took the lead in the top of the sixth, it would be the final change of the game as Lexington (54-55, 18-21) went on to capture a 10-5 win. The loss snapped the Drive's (58-49, 19-20) three-game winning streak.

Steven Brown gave the Legends an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second, belting a two-out solo homer off Stolmy Pimentel. However, Greenville answered in the bottom of the third, sending all nine batters to the plate en route to plating four runs.

All of the Drive's runs in the frame came with two outs as Lexington starter Brad Dydalewicz (7-4) retired the first two batters he faced. The next five batters laced consecutive hits, with Ryan Lavarnway tallying an RBI-single, while Ty Weeden and Kade Keowen each hit an RBI-double.

But the Legends would not quit. Brian Pellegrini cut Lexington's deficit to a run in the top of the fourth with a two-run homer, before Michael Diaz put his team back on top with a two-run double in the sixth off Lance McClain (2-2).

Down by two, the Drive moved within a run in the bottom of the seventh as Oscar Tejeda led off with a solo homer against Henry Villar. However, the Legends squashed any chances of the Drive making a comeback by scoring four times in the top of the eighth.

Reliever Leandro Marin proved ineffective allowing the first six batters to reach base, including a bases loaded triple by Brown, giving him four runs batted in on the night. Catcher Reinaldo Pestana added an RBI-single for good measure, before Mitch Herold came in and recorded three outs.

The Drive and Legends conclude their series on Friday with the fourth game of their series at Fluor Field, with first pitch set for 7:05 PM. Headed to the mound for Greenville will be the reigning South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week, right-hander Brock Huntzinger (7-8, 4.17 ERA). Lexington will counter with right-hander Robert Bono (8-7, 2.94 ERA).

Upstate Fest presented by State Farm comes to a close as well, with the celebration of Greer. Following the conclusion of Friday's game, fans will be treated to a spectacular fireworks show.
