SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Missions announced today that infielder Seth Johnston has been transferred back from Triple-A Portland. Johnston and right-handed pitcher Mike DeMark had each spent time with the San Diego Padres Triple-A affiliate while seven of their players were on the disabled list with a flu virus.
Johnston, 26, hit .375 (12-for-32) with three doubles, four home runs, six runs scored and six RBI, slugging .844 over his nine games with Portland. In his 82 games with San Antonio this year the Boerne, TX native has batted .241 (69-for-286) with eight home runs and 41 RBI.
