Arkansas Travelers News Release

NORTH LITTLE ROCK - Arkansas Traveler outfielder Rian Kiniry has been placed on the 7-day disabled list after suffering a right elbow sprain before Friday's game against the Tulsa Drillers. Outfielder Jeremy Moore was transferred from Class A-Advanced Rancho Cucamonga and is in the starting lineup in right field for the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Kiniry, 22, went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in the only game he played for the Travelers since being called up Tuesday to take the roster spot of the injured Branden Florence (hamstring). Kiniry was in the starting lineup for Arkansas in the game that was rained out Thursday and again Friday before the injury sustained during pre-game drills.

Moore was batting .292 with seven home runs and 40 RBIs with Rancho Cucamonga. The 22-year-old also recorded 15 doubles and nine triples for a .460 slugging percentage in 83 games, with 10 stolen bases in 21 attempts. He drew 22 walks while striking out 99 times and has played all three outfield positions, with five errors.

Moore will be the 12th Traveler to play the outfield this season. Three are currently with Triple-A Salt Lake, four are on the Arkansas active roster and two more are on the disabled list. Peter Bourjos is the only remaining starting outfielder from the opening day game.
