Flyers Reassign Cabana To ECHL Mississippi

PHILADLEPHIA - The Philadelphia Flyers today re-assigned center Frederik Cabana from the American Hockey League's Philadelphia Phantoms to their ECHL affiliate, the Mississippi Sea Wolves, according to Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren.

Cabana, 22, had an assist in four games for the Phantoms this season. In 2007-08, he posted nine goals and seven assists for 16 points and 75 penalty minutes in 48 games with the Phantoms. The native of Fleurimont, Quebec has appeared in 113 games for the Phantoms since turning professional in 2006, during which time he had 13 goals and 23 assists for 36 points.

He was originally drafted by the Flyers in the sixth round (171st overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
