T-Birds And Clear Channel Radio Seattle Announce Radio Partnership

KENT, WA, September 10, 2008 - The Seattle Thunderbirds are pleased to announce a partnership with Clear Channel Radio Seattle.

This partnership includes the broadcast of all T-Birds games on terrestrial radio, HD radio and the Internet, as well as Clear Channel having a presence at the team's new home, the Kent Events Center. Starting this season all T-Birds games, both regular season and playoffs, will be heard on Funky Monkey 104.9 FM over the air, on HD Radio and streamed over the Internet at www.themonkey1049.com.

"We are very excited to enter into this partnership with Clear Channel Seattle," said T-Birds Vice President Colin Campbell. "We are looking forward to having a presence on all six Clear Channel stations in the Seattle market. We are also pleased Clear Channel will have a presence at the Kent Events Center."

The stations that make up Clear Channel Seattle's radio cluster include: KUBE 93 FM, Sports Radio 950 KJR AM, Fox Sports 850 AM, 95.7 KJR FM , Q-Country 102.9 FM and Funky Monkey 104.9 FM.

The T-Birds open the regular season on the road on Friday, September 19, against the Prince George Cougars.

T-Birds season tickets are also currently on sale. Season tickets can be purchased by calling the T- Birds office at 425-869-7825. Purchasing a season ticket will ensure fans can attend both the home opener at the KeyArena on October 4 and the T-Birds first game in their new home, the Kent Events Center.

The T-Birds have two games remaining in the preseason. They travel to Portland to take on the Winter Hawks on Friday, September 12, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Coliseum.

The T-Birds only home exhibition game of the preseason will be Saturday, September 13, at Kent Valley Ice Centre against the Portland Winter Hawks. Game time is 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the T-Birds at 206-448-PUCK, at any Ticketmaster outlet or at Kent Valley Ice Centre.
