Regina Pats News Release
St. Albert, Alberta - A Hat-Trick for Kyle Mulder powered the Pats to a 6-4 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers in the opener of the Edmonton Oil Kings preseason tournament. The 17 year old forward also scored the winning goal 4:57 into the 3rd period, just 51 seconds after the Tigers had tied it at 4. Victor Bartley also had his name all over the score-sheet with a goal and four assists.
Both the Tigers and the Pats were playing without many familiar names that are away at NHL camps, so it was a pair of very young line-ups that hit the ice. The game also featured three fights, as the Pats Jeff Dort, Michael MacAngus, and Curtis Kulchar all picked up third period majors.
