Nottle to take immediate leave of absence
July 23, 2008 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Ottawa Voyageurs News Release
(OTTAWA) July 23, 2008 - Ottawa Rapidz Manager Ed Nottle will be leaving the team after tonight's game to return to Evansville, Indiana to attend pressing personal matters relating to his wife's health. As many of you know, Ed's wife is a cancer survivor.
Until he returns - no date has been set - batting coach Tom Carcione will take the reigns as manager.
"The entire Rapidz family wishes nothing but the best for Ed and his wife. We'll do our best to hold down the fort while he's away," said Rapidz co-owner Rob Hall.
Mr. Nottle will not be available post-game but questions on this matter can be directed to François Marchand. Game-related questions should be directed to Tom Carcione.
