Birmingham Barons News Release
RHP Lucas Harrell has been transferred to Birmingham from A Kannapolis, effective July 5. Harrell was Birmingham's Opening Day starter, but after three appearances was placed on the Disabled List with a right shoulder injury. He began rehab at Extended Spring Training in mid-May, and was activated from the DL and transferred to Kannapolis two weeks ago.
He is expected to join the team in Birmingham Tuesday for the start of the Barons' five-game series with Montgomery.
