LAST GAME: Oklahoma had 13 hits, six of which were home runs, in a 13-9 win over Nashville yesterday afternoon. Despite all the power in the game, the RedHawks notched the eventual winning run in the sixth, scoring twice on three singles. Yukinaga Maeda, Kea Kometani, Bill White, and Wes Littleon shut down the Sounds over the final six and two-thirds, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while combining to strikeout 11.

POWER SURGE: After going with out a home run in the first game at Greer Stadium on Tuesday, Oklahoma hit six last night, matching the second highest total for home runs in any ballpark on the road this season. The RedHawks hit seven At Principal Park in Iowa over eight games and six at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque (four games) and six in PGE Park in Portland (four games). The six home runs are a 2008 season high. Oklahoma hit six home runs in one game late last season on September 1 in the 20-6 win at Albuquerque.

DAVIS DIGS IN:

Chris Davis extended his hitting streak to 14 games, the second longest RedHawk hitting streak this season behind Taylor Teagarden's 15-game run in May. Davis has also reached base in 22 straight games dating back to game May 28. The hitting streak is the longest active run in the Pacific Coast League, while the on-base string is the third longest active such streak in the league behind Colby Rasmus of Memphis (28 games) and Matt Brown of Salt Lake (26 games).

ANOTHER STREAK EXTENDED:

Nelson Cruz had four hits last night to raise his average from .338 to .348 and extend his hitting streak to nine games. Nelson has also reached base safely in his last 19 games, dating back to May 28. Over the course of this on-base streak, Cruz is hitting .371 with seven home runs and 17 runs batted in, and has walked nine times.

MEYER'S MASH:

Drew Meyer's home run yesterday was his second this season and third over the last two years. Meyer hit his only home run last season on June 29 off Iowa's Bret Prinz. His next home run came on June 2 this season, spanning 65 games between those two home runs and went 217 at bats between blasts. Meyer played six games between home runs this season with 21 at bats in between. His single-season career high was 5 home runs for Spokane in 2003.

NASHVILLE AT A GLANCE:

Derrick Turnbow will start tonight for the Sounds but will be piggybacked by Richie Gardner. Turnbow has not faced Oklahoma this season, while Gardner faced Oklahoma in his first appearance of the season, pitching one shutout inning of relief work on April 10. Gardner is 5-2 with an ERA of 4.10 in 13 games this season, ten of which have been starts.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Texas lost 5-2 to Atlanta... Frisco beat Midland 6-5... Bakersfield upended Inland Empire 5-3... Clinton had the day off... Spokane lost to Everett 4-1.

DOT-DOT-DOT: John Mayberry went 0-5 last night and saw his hitting streak snapped at nine games, matching his longest hitting streak this season. The outfielder hit safely in nine straight for Frisco from April 14 through April 25... The RedHawks six home runs matched the best single-game output by any team in the league this season.

TIME CHANGE:

The RedHawks have announced a time change that differs from what is listed on pocket schedules and previously printed tickets. Oklahoma's game with Round Rock on Monday, June 23 at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark is now a 7:05 pm first pitch.
