
Sky Sox Walk to Park to Raise Money for the American Cancer Society

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - Sunday, June 22nd, is American Cancer Society Day at Security Service Field. Before the 1:05PM Sky Sox game, On Field Host Jon Eddy will be walking 10 miles to the stadium in support of The American Cancer Society. Jon will be joined by members of the ACS staff and several Sky Sox partners, to form the small group walking to Security Service Field.
The Sky Sox are asking for the communities help by pledging donations to help the Sky Sox in their goal to donate as much as possible to ACS.
The walk will start at 8AM at The Grace Center for Athletics on Union Boulevard and will end 10 miles later at the front gates at Security Service Field.
Members of the community can make donations online by visiting www.skysox.com and following the "Sky Sox Walk to the Park for ACS" headline. Pledge forms are also available at all Sky Sox home games until the event and at the front office at Security Service Field.
As a thank you, everyone who donates via the internet or check will be entered into a drawing to win TWO FREE SEASON TICKETS FOR THE SKY SOX 2009 SEASON, AND WILL THROW OUT A FIRST PITCH OPENING WEEKEND!
