Nashville Sounds News Release

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Tuesday, June 17, to open an eight-game homestand, which includes series against the Oklahoma RedHawks (AAA-Rangers) and division-rival Memphis Redbirds (AAA-Cardinals).

The week at Greer will feature two fireworks shows, two Purity Faith Nights, two bobblehead giveaways, and plenty of exciting on-field Pacific Coast League action.

The first game of a four-game series against Oklahoma will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Popcorn, Indiana's two-for-one Tuesdays will continue. Fans who present a receipt showing the purchase of a bag of Popcorn, Indiana Kettlecorn from Walgreen's will receive two tickets for the price of one.

After a 12:00 p.m. afternoon game on Wednesday, the Sounds will continue their series with the RedHawks on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Thirsty Thursday means fans can enjoy $1 draft beverages until 8:30 p.m. or the 5th inning, whichever comes first, and the Miller Lite Concert Series will continue with a free one-hour, pre-game show on the stage inside the first-base entrance.

The final game of the series with the RedHawks will be on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with the Sounds hosting another Purity Faith Night. Fans can invite their youth group, singles group, Sunday school class, or any other church-related function to a fun-filled family environment at Greer Stadium! A pre-game concert will take place at 5:30 featuring recording artist and American Idol alum Chris Sligh, and a dazzling fireworks display will fill the sky immediately following the game.

In addition, the first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles on Friday will receive free Joseph The Dreamer bobblehead dolls. Don't miss out on a great night for baseball, friends, and fellowship. Information regarding special Purity Faith Night group packages is available online at www.nashvillesounds.com.

The Sounds will open a four-game series with the cross-state, division-rival Memphis Redbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles on Saturday night will receive a free complimentary Ryan Braun baseball card magnet, courtesy of NowPlayingNashville.com, and fireworks will once again fill the skies immediately following the game, courtesy of your select Buick-Pontiac-GMC dealers.

Sunday's game starts at 6:00 p.m. with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. for the second Purity Faith Night of the homestand, with recording artists Nate Huss and Josh Wilson performing the pre-game concert at 4:30 p.m. near the front gate. Fans will be able to satisfy their sweet tooth with Little Debbie and Sunbelt Snacks Day, as well as $1 ice cream sundaes courtesy of Purity Sundae Sundays.

Monday's game against the Redbirds starts at 7:00 p.m., and fans can enjoy Red Hot Chicago Dollar Dog Night, when hot dogs are only $1 at all concession stands. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m.

The series finale will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. The final game of the homestand will be another Popcorn, Indiana 2-for-1 Tuesday where fans who present a receipt showing the purchase of a 4 oz. bag of Popcorn, Indiana Kettlecorn from Walgreen's will receive two tickets for the price of one for every Tuesday home game. In addition, 104.5 The Zone will distribute George Plaster bobblehead dolls to the first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles, in conjunction with Fluffo.

Following the homestand, the Sounds will host their annual charity golf tournament during an off day on Wednesday, June 25th. Click here for complete details.
