Earlier this morning, Beloit's Chris Cates and Loek Van Mil chatted with ESPN's Jay Crawford on the popular morning show "ESPN First Take." Click the link below to check out what they talked about.

So far this year, Cates is batting .272 with 12 runs, 17 RBIs and 41 hits in 49 games played. Chris is also sporting a .345 on-base percentage.

Selected in the 38th round of the 2007 First-Year Player draft by the Twins, Cates is originally from Brandon, Florida. Chris attended the University of Louisville where he was named Third-Team All-Big East while also leading his team in batting average (.332) and runs (47) as a junior.

Loek is currently 1-0 with a 2.89 ERA in 28 innings pitched. Van Mil has 31 strikeouts along with just 12 walks in 17 appearances.

Signed as a non-drafted free agent on July 7, 2005, Loek is originally from Oss, Noord-Branbt, Netherlands. Coming into this season, Van Mil had a career minor league record of 3-4 with a 3.08 ERA.
