Arkansas Travelers News Release

Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock, AR - With changes happening all across the Los Angeles chain, the Travs lost IF Adam Morrissey to a promotion to class AAA but picked up IF Larry Infante and RHP Rafael Rodriguez. Morrissey left the club Sunday morning and played that evening for Salt Lake in their win over Round Rock. Infante joins the Travs from Rancho Cucamonga, while Rodriguez comes from Salt Lake to join the Travs' bullpen.

Morrissey was signed as a free agent by the Angels in mid-March. He played 25 games at Arkansas batting .289 with three home runs and 11 RBI. Recently he had been the Travs' hottest hitter and had reached base in 13 consecutive games at the time of his promotion. He replaces former Trav INF Kendry Morales who was sent to the Angels when INF Chone Figgins was placed on the disabled list.

Infante, 23, joins the Travs' infield after playing 30 games at Rancho Cucamonga. The native of Charallave, Venezuela had been playing third base batting .239 with no home runs, five doubles and seven RBI.

Rodriguez, 23, made nine appearances pitching at Salt Lake with a 2-0 record and 6.28 ERA. He was placed on the inactive list early in May and reactivated Sunday before being transferred to Arkansas's roster. He was in the 2007 Travs' bullpen making 46 appearances with a 0-6 record and 4.16 ERA.
