Sun Reach TV, Radio Deals For 2007 Season

UNCASVILLE, CT. (May 18, 2007) - The Connecticut Sun have reached an agreement with Fox 61 and CW 20 to televise seven Sun games during the 2007 season.
Seasoned Boston Celtics announcer Mike Gorman returns for his fifth season providing play-by-play. Two former Connecticut Sun players, Rebecca Lobo and Debbie Black, will take turns handling color commentary duties this year.
The first broadcast will be Saturday night at 6 p.m. on CW 20, with Gorman and Black calling the action from the Verizon Center as the Sun open the 2007 season against the Washington Mystics. Other local broadcasts on CW 20 include Friday, July 6th at 10 p.m. vs. Phoenix; Saturday, July 7th at 10:30 p.m. vs. Los Angeles; Thursday, July 12th at 10 p.m. vs. Sacramento; and Saturday, August 4th at 7 p.m. vs. Indiana. Fox 61 will broadcast games against Chicago on Sunday, June 17th at 4 p.m., and New York on Sunday, July 29th at 4 p.m.
As part of the agreement, Fox 61 and CW 20 will also air two half-hour specials about the team during the 2005 season.
"We're looking forward to another great year working with the Connecticut Sun," said Fox 61 and CW 20 General Manager Richard Graziano.
WXLM radio (102.3 FM) - a 3,000-watt station owned by Citadel Broadcasting - will once again broadcast every Connecticut Sun game in 2007. Veteran Bob Heussler will return for his fifth season handling play-by-play duties.
