Snow and Cold Puts a Stop to Baseball in South Bend

South Bend, IN - Wednesday night's scheduled game between the Dayton Dragons and South Bend Silver Hawks at Coveleski Stadium in South Bend, Indiana has been canceled due to snow. The Dragons and Silver Hawks awoke to a blanket of snow on the ground Wednesday morning and the prediction of continued precipitation and cold temperatures.

The two teams will make the game up as part of a double header on Thursday, April 12 th with a 5 PM first pitch . If the forecast for Thursday cooperates the Dragons and South Bend will play a pair of seven inning games with a 20 minute break in between the first and second games.

LHP Jamie Arneson and RHP Sean Watson will get the starting nods for the Dragons in the double header while South Bend will counter with RHP Cesar Valdez and LHP Brett Anderson. 1410 ESPN Radio will broadcast the games live beginning with the Dragons pre game show starting at 4:30 PM.

The Dragons return home to Fifth Third Field on Friday night to open a quick two game series with the Fort Wayne Wizards. Both games of the series against Fort Wayne (Friday and Saturday night) begin at 7 PM.
