
Braves sign Arteaga

Mississippi Braves News Release
The Mississippi Braves announce the signing of free agent INF Josh Arteaga. Arteaga, who was in the Cubs organization before being picked up by the Braves, began the season with the AAA-Iowa Cubs. He then made two stops in A-ball with the Daytona Cubs of the Florida State League and most recently with the Peoria Chiefs of the Midwest league.
In Triple-A, Arteaga batted .250 (1-4) through four games. Most recently, he hit .256 through 32 games in Peoria. He had nine doubles, a triple, two homers, and 23 RBI in the 32 games.
Also, OF Michael Rosamond has been promoted to AAA-Richmond. In Rosamond's latest stint with AA-Mississippi, he went 1-1 as a pinch hitter.
The Braves roster now has 23 active players.
