
BlueClaws Return Home April 30

Lakewood, N.J. The Lakewood BlueClaws, Single-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, return to FirstEnergy Park on Saturday, April 30th to begin an eight game home stand. Great promotions for the home stand are scheduled highlighted with a race horse giveaway on Thursday, May 5th.
The BlueClaws kick off the home stand with a four game series against the Asheville Tourists, the Single-A team of the Colorado Rockies. First pitch of game one against the Tourists is at 5:05 p.m. on April 30th and Yankee pitching great Goose Gossage will be on hand, courtesy of Pine Belt Chevrolet. There will be a free autograph session for fans to meet Gossage.
The series continues on Sunday May 1st with the first 2,000 fans 18 and older through the gates receiving an adult sized BlueClaws cap courtesy of Verizon Wireless. Gates open up at 11:30 a.m. with the first pitch scheduled for 1:05 p.m.
On Monday, May 2nd, every baseball's fans ultimate question will try to be answered. Who's on first? Abbot and Costello impersonators will be on hand entertaining fans for a 6:35 p.m. game.
The BlueClaws series with Asheville wraps up on Tuesday with a matinee game at 11:05 a.m. The first 2,000 fans 17 and under receive oversized baseball cards courtesy of the Asbury Park Press.
Lakewood then welcomes the Hickory Crawdads, Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, to town for the first time this year on Wednesday May 4th for Hershey's & Perlmart ShopRite Night. After the game fans leaving the park will receive a pack of Twizzlers while supplies last.
Thursday May 5th, one lucky fan will win partial ownership of a race horse for one year, courtesy of Winged Foot Stables. Game time is 6:35 p.m. with the "starting" gates opening up at 5:30p.m.
On Friday night May 6th a fireworks display will follow the game courtesy of Toyota World/Scion World of Lakewood.
The eight game home stand wraps up on Saturday May 7th with a 1:05 p.m. game and the second annual "Bark in The Park." Fans and their four legged friends are welcome to come out to FirstEnergy Park and enjoy an afternoon of baseball.
