
Rome Announces Roster Changes

Rome Emperors News Release
Rome, GA â The Rome Braves announced roster changes effective today. Infielder Carlos Guzman has been sent to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans of the Carolina League and infielder Ben Thomas joins the Rome club from Myrtle Beach. Thomas was hitting .192 in limited playing time with the Pelicans. Braves catcher James Barksdale has been placed back on the disabled list.
First baseman Cole Armstrong has been activated from the disabled list where he was recovering from a hamstring pull on April 16th. Armstrong is hitting .324 with one home run and eight RBI.
The Braves begin a four game series with the Savannah Sand Gnats tonight at State Mutual Stadium at 7pm. The Principal Family Group Fun Fest will be displayed with fun for the whole family presented by K98 Radio. Tickets are available by calling 706-378-5144.
