
Lynx Add Another Pitcher; LHP Bruce Chen To Start Friday

The Ottawa Lynx today announced another move that will strengthen their pitching staff, as LHP Bruce Chen (who was acquired by the Baltimore Orioles from the Toronto Blue Jays for future considerations) was placed on the Ottawa roster. Chen, 27, has a played in the Major Leagues with Atlanta, Philadelphia, the New York Mets, Cincinnati, Houston, and Boston. His career Major League record is 20-19, with a 4.59 ERA in 155 career games. Chen is expected to make his debut for the Lynx this Friday when he starts against the Pawtucket Red Sox in Rhode Island.
To make room on the roster for Chen, RHP Sean Bergman was transferred from the Ottawa roster to the Single-A Aberdeen roster.
