
Americans Extend Contract of Director of Player Personnel

Kennewick, WA â The Tri-City Americans today are pleased to announce that they have agreed to a contract extension with director of player personnel Darrell May. May will be entering his fourth season with the hockey club next season.
"Darrell has done an excellent job of assessing talent over the last three years and is a key figure in the turnaround of our hockey club and its player list," said Americans general manager Bob Tory. "Carey Price, Kirk Meaver and Clinton Pettapiece along with last years first overall selection Jonathan Toews (pronounced: Tayves) are great examples of his work along with our scouting staff."
The U.S. Division leading Americans return home for the final weekend of the regular season with a chance to wrap up their first ever division title this Friday, March 12th at 7:05 pm in the Tri-Cities Coliseum against the Portland Winter Hawks. It's Tri-City Herald Family Night. A family of four (two adults and two children) will get an $85 value for just $49 with a coupon from Tuesday's or Friday's Herald. Nearly 2,400 tickets remain for the game.
Saturday, March 13th the Everett Silvertips visit at 7:05 pm. It's Clear Channel Radio Rock The Rink Night presented by Coors Light. All youth and students with ASB cards are admitted for $7. Draft beer is $2. Tickets are going fast as less than 2,200 remain for the contest.
Single game seats for the first two home playoff games go on sale this Wednesday, March 10th at 8 a.m. at the Coliseum box office and all Tickets West outlet. The dates are to be determined.
