Willie Collazo turned in another solid performance as the Zephyrs rebounded from Friday night's loss to beat the Oklahoma City RedHawks 7-3 Saturday night. The Zephyrs pounded out 12 hits and drew eight walks in the complete team effort.
Collazo (6-2) was able to work around eight hits, holding the RedHawks to two runs in his six innings of work. After allowing a run in the top of the first, Collazo was able to settle down as he struck out four batters in the next five innings.
Every Zephyr starter had a hit in the game except for shortstop Andy Gonzalez. Manny Mayorson lead the way for the Z's by going 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Gabby Sanchez added two hits, including a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to give the Z's breathing room.
With the victory the Zephyrs picked up a game on the second place RedHawks. The series continues Sunday night with Gary Glover (RHP) taking on Elizardo Ramirez (RHP).
