Game Keys - The Zephyrs were tripped up again last night in Oklahoma City as the RedHawks scored four runs in the third inning and defeated the visiting Zephyrs 8-2. The loss is the third in a row and the eighth defeat in their last nine games. RedHawk outfielder Nelson Cruz drove home three more runs in the series and added three hits. New Orleans starter Brian Stokes worked six innings and allowed 5 runs, three were unearned following a key error by Abraham Nunez in the fourth inning. The Hawks sent nine batters to the plate in the fourth enroute to a four run inning. Z's outfielder Chris Agulia smacked a two run home run in the fifth inning. Oklahoma scored three additional runs in the eighth off of reliever Jose Santiago. The RedHawks lead the three game series 2-0 with an off day on Wednesday. AT@T Bricktown Ballpark will host the Big 12 Baseball Championships this week and the Z's and Hawks will not play Wednesday and will conclude the series with a 11 AM game on Thursday. Game Notes: New Orleans (21-24) falls to three games under .500 for the first time this season and is now 4 ½ games back of division leading Oklahoma. The biggest deficit of the year. The Z's have dropped 9 of their last ten road contests.... New Orleans home/road ERA has the 3rd biggest differential in the PCL at 2.83 runs per game .... The Zephyrs will play 20 consecutive games against division opponents ... Anderson Hernandez did not play ending his streak of particpating in every Z's game this season ... Anderson Machado has a hit in six consecutive games ... The Z's are 5-14 in the month of May ....
