Game Keys: The Nashville Sounds pounded out 15 hits and defeated the visiting New Orleans Zephyrs 8-3 on Thursday evening at Greer Stadium in Nashville. The Sounds scored three runs in the second inning off of Z's starter Adam Bostick. Bostick suffered the loss and struggled allowing six runs on nine hits in five innings of work. The Zephyrs scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning to get back into the contest with four consecutive hits. Nashville responded scoring three more runs in the fifth. Laynce Nix drilled a two run home run. Former Zephyr Mark DiFelice pitched five innings and earned his third win of the season for the Sounds. Nashville leads the series 2-1with the series finale on Friday evening. Pennant Race: New Orleans leads Albuquerque by 2 ½ games and Oklahoma by 3 games with 19 to play ... The Isotopes and Oklahoma both won on Thursday night, picking up a game in the standings .... New Orleans is trying to win the division for the first time since the 2001 season. Game Notes: Willie Collazo pitched two scoreless innings and extended his scorless inning streak to 23.1 innings spanning ten games .... Anderson Hernandez extended his hit streak to 12 games ....
