Z's starting pitcher Dallas Trahern allowed one run in six innings and earned his first win of the season as the visiting Zephyrs defeated the Round Rock Express 8-3 at the Dell Diamond. Michael Ryan homered for the second consecutive game to start the scoring. The right field drilled a solo home run in the second inning. The Express answered with a run in the third to tie the game. John Lindsey broke the tie with a long home run in the fourth inning. The Z's added two additional runs in the inning when Andy Gonzalez smoked a double to right field driving home a pair. The Z's added three more runs in the sixth with a 2 RBI double from Chris Coghlan. Express starter Josh Muecke took the loss. The Z's have won the first two of the series.

Game Notes: The Z's debut their gray uniforms on Monday with the 4-1 victory and wore them again Tuesday in the 8-3 win at Round Rock. The Z's offense has delivered four home runs in the first two games of the series. New Orleans snapped a four game losing streak on Earth Day with the win. The Z's pitchers also have allowed just four runs in the two games. Coming Up: The Zephyrs continue the short four game trip in Round Rock. Game three of the four game set will be at 7:05 Thursday evening. New Orleans will start RH Daniel Barone (0-0, 9.64) against RH Bud Norris (0-0, 1.86). Radio AM 690
