Zlatan Ibrahimovic Stunner Voted Greatest Goal Presented by AT&T
December 17, 2020 - Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release
NEW YORK - MLS today announced that former LA Galaxy striker Zlatan IbrahimoviÃâ¡'s wonder goal in his debut MLS match on March 31, 2018 has been named The Greatest Goal presented by AT&T.
With the top 25 goals nominated by MLS, a fan vote determined The Greatest Goal presented by AT&T, an honor that highlights the best goal in Major League Soccer's 25 seasons.
With his LA Galaxy team trailing 3-2 during the inaugural El Trafico match against crosstown rival Los Angeles Football Club, IbrahimoviÃâ¡ received an aerial ball and volleyed a rocket shot into the back of the net from 40 yards out. Zlatan would go on to score another goal in stoppage time of that game to earn the Galaxy a 4-3 win.
