Zimmerman Off DL, Simard To Rancho

Hammons Field, Springfield, MO - RHP Bob Zimmerman was removed from the disabled list by the Arkansas Travelers this afternoon. Placed on the disabled list on May 16 with stiffness in his right shoulder, Zimmerman had made ten appearances with the Travs posting an 0-2 record and two saves to go with a 9.95 ERA. In order to make room for Zimmerman on the Travs' roster, the Los Angeles Angels transferred RHP Michel Simard to Rancho Cucamonga. With the Travelers, Simard was 0-1 in 16 games (two starts) with a 6.42 ERA.

Zimmerman is available to pitch for the Travs tonight as they try to stop a four-game losing streak in Springfield.
