GAMEDAY- The New Orleans Zephyrs will host the Salt Lake Stingers today in the final game of the homestand. This will be the final meeting of the season against the Stingers.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN- The Zephyrs ht the road for a 8 game road trip beginning tomorrow in Omaha. The trip will also have a stop in Albuquerque.

THE DH- New Orleans will utilize the DH again today against the Anaheim affiliate. The Z's have scored 35 runs in the last 4 games!

HAMMER TIME- New Orleans Manager Chris Maloney won his 800th game as a skipper last Saturday night.

HOME SWEET HOME- The Z's have won 7 of their last 11 home games, winning 3 of 4 in series against Memphis and Edmonton.

BRILLIANT – Zephyr 2b Chris Burke is 14 for 28 in his 6 game hitting streak. He has 7 doubles and 2 homers and 5 RBI In his streak.

SIX IS THE MAGIC NUMBER – The Z's are 13-2 in games they have scored 6 or more runs. In 2003 New Orleans was 37-7.

NUMERO UNO – The Zephyrs have won 6 straight game one's in the series.

COME SWING WITH THE ZEPHYRS -- The 7th annual Zephyrs Golf Tournament will be at Eastover on June 9th and the shotgun start begins at 1PM. Participants can join as a four some or as an individual and will be matched with a Zephyr Celebrity. Proceeds go to The United Way.

INSIDE ZEPHYRS BASEBALL- Cox Sports Television, Channel 37 will air the program tonite at 6PM, the featured guest is Chris Burke. Next Thursday at 6PM will be Outfielder Ryan Thompson.

TANK @ ALL-STAR EVENTS – Danny Fatheree has been selected to catch in the bullpen and on the field during this years Major League Baseball All-Star Events in Houston. He will participate in the Futures Game, Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game.

BULLIED UP – RHP Kirk Bullinger has saved 6 of the last 7 games New Orleans has won.

LEADERBOARD- Royce Huffman is 4th in the PCL in batting average, he is 4th with 61 hits, and 8th with 14 doubles. Carlos Hernandez is 5th in the league in with a 2.65 ERA. Jared Fernandez leads the league in innings pitched. Kirk Bullinger is 2nd in the league lead in games pitched with 22 and tied for the league lead with 10 saves. Chris Burke is tied for 2nd in the league with 14 stolen bases and is 5th in the league with 60 hits.

THE LONG BALL – The Zephyrs have drilled 43 homers, but 28 of them are solo shots. The new dimensions have created 10 homers that would not have been gone in years past.

HILL SENT TO ROUND ROCK- A rash of injuries to the Round Rock Express have forced a player move. OF Mike Hill has been sent to Class AA Round Rock. Former Z Dave Matranga and OF Mike Rodriguez were placed on the Express DL.

ROSTER NOTES- New Orleans has 24 active players on the roster. The Z's also have 1 player on the DL. RHP Doug Sessions is on the DL, with a sore right shoulder. He has an aggravated labrum. He has beginning to throw and may throw a bullpen session this weekend. There is no timetable on his projected return.

IRON MEN- New Orleans has two players that have played in all the games (Chris Burke, Royce Huffman). No Z player has started every game.

HARVILLE TO REHAB! Astros Relief pitcher Chad Harville threw 40 pitches in a simulated game prior to Wednesday's game against the Cubs and reported no problems with the strained right hamstring that's kept him on the disabled list since May 6. Harville will take two days off before reporting to Round Rock for a rehab outing on Saturday. He cut off his rehab after an inning May 18 when he felt a twinge in the hamstring. When Harville is activated expect the Zephyrs to get a pitcher from Houston.
