
Sounds Open Promotion-Filled Homestand Tomorrow At Greer Stadium

The Nashville Sounds return home from an eight-game West Coast swing on Friday, May 28 to begin an eight-game homestand at Greer Stadium that is chock full of promotions. In the first four-game set, the Sounds take on the Colorado Springs Sky Sox before challenging the Iowa Cubs in the final four contests.
In the first game of the homestand on Friday, May 28 at 7 p.m., the first 2,000 fans that walk into Greer Stadium will receive a 2004 Sounds baseball card set, compliments of Academy Sports and Outdoors.
The first 2,000 fans in attendance for Saturday's 6 p.m. game between the Sounds and the Sky Sox will receive a limited-edition commemorative art print highlighting the 27 years of Sounds baseball. As is the case on all Saturday's over the course of the season, Greer Stadium will host one of its spectacular fireworks shows shortly after the end of the game.
Sunday's contest, which gets underway at 6 p.m., will be another Kids Club Day. All Sounds Kids Club members receive free admission by presenting their membership card at the stadium box office.
There will be a Memorial Day celebration in the final tilt between the Sounds and the Sky Sox on May 31 at 2 p.m. All military, past and present, will be honored and given free admission to the afternoon game, along with their families. The night will also be a Piggly Wiggly Monday. Any fan that turns in a Piggly Wiggly receipt when buying one ticket will be able to obtain another for equal or lesser value free.
The first game between Iowa and Nashville, set to get underway at 7 p.m. on the first day of June, will be another Goo-Goo Tuesday 2-for-1 night. All fans that turn in a UPC label from any flavored Goo-Goo six-pack at the Greer Stadium box office will receive one free ticket when buying another of equal or greater value.
Wednesday's noon contest between the Sounds and the Cubs will be Day Camp Day. All Day Campers from the area will be invited to come to Greer Stadium for a day of fun, friends, and baseball. The promotion includes ticket specials of $8 & $10 that include soft drinks and hot dogs for all day camps.
Wednesday will also be another "Guaranteed Win Day" as well, which means that if for some reason the Sounds cannot muster enough for a victory all those in attendance at Greer Stadium will be afforded the opportunity to redeem their ticket stub for a free ticket to any other game of the 2004 season. As part of the ongoing Peter Piper festivities on Wednesdays, fans that present a proof of purchase from any Peter Piper product will be able to "buy one ticket and get another free."
In the third game of the series between the Sounds and the Cubs at 7 p.m. on Thursday, fans will once again be able to take part in the immensely popular "Thirsty Thursday" promotion, meaning that fans will be able to purchase $1 draft beverages until the end of the fifth inning. The Thursday evening game will also be a Harris Teeter VIC Card buy one, get one free night. All fans that show their VIC card will be able to get one ticket free when buying another of equal or greater value.
The final game of the homestand on Friday, June 4 at 7 p.m. will be the first of the Sounds' popular Faith Nights, sponsored by Chick-Fil-A and Lipscomb University. The evening will be a combination of fun, fellowship, and baseball. Denver & The Mile High Orchestra return to Greer Stadium for their second straight year to play a 5 p.m. pre-game concert prior to the night's baseball action.
The initial Faith Night will also feature one of the more unique promotions in all of minor league baseball. The first 2,000 fans at Greer Stadium receive a Moses bobblehead doll, compliments of Donelson Air Conditioning. At the conclusion of the exciting night at the ballpark on Friday, there will be fireworks show for everyone in attendance.
