Zephyrs Fall 9-5 in Reno

RENO, Nevada - The Reno Aces scored seven fourth inning runs to rally and defeat the New Orleans Zephyrs 9-5 on a sunny afternoon in Reno. The Zephyrs jumped out to a great start scoring three first inning runs. Reno native Scott Cousins hammered a two run home run for New Orleans in the first. Kevin Mattison hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and the Zephyrs led the Aces 5-1. In the fourth inning J.D. Martin allowed two singles and two walks when pinch hitter Mike Jacobs hammered a three run home run. Martin allowed six runs in three and two thirds innings and suffered the defeat. Reno starter Barry Enright was ejected in the third by the umpire for arguing balls and strikes. Bryan Woodall pitched an inning and two thirds and earned the win. The Zephyrs out-hit the Aces 10-9.

Game Notes - The Zephyrs placed outfielder Chris Aguila on the disabled list and activated Sergio Pedroza. The Zephyrs have dropped five of six on this road-trip.
