NASHVILLE, Tennessee - Brad Hand hit a home run and added a RBI double and earned the win as the starting pitcher and the New Orleans Zephyrs defeated Nashville 11-5. The offense scored a season high 11 runs on 13 hits and earned a split with Nashville Sounds. Bryan Petersen led the Z's with four hits and Matt Dominguez added three doubles. The Zephyrs offense scored runs in each of the first five innings of the game. Hand worked 5.1 innings allowed five runs on ten hits. Elih Villanueva entered the game from the bullpen and pitched the final 3.2 innings and earned the save. The first place Zephyrs improved to 9-3 on the season.

Game Notes - Brad Hand hit his second career home run in the second inning. Z's pitcher Elih Villanueva earned his first career save in his 100thprofessional game. The Zephyrs and Sounds pitchers combined for five hits in seven at bats in the game. The Z's and Sounds split the four game set in Nashville, New Orleans won just one game in eight tries in the Music City a year ago.
